Alarming Footage Shows Point Police Suffer Blade Attacks in Surprise Attack

The Two Senior Officers Instants Prior to the Aggressor Received Electric Shock

A ranking policeman that leaped to the help of a partner that was assaulted by a knifeman was granted the Monarch's Honor for Courage.

Sgt Tim Ansell grappled with twenty-seven-year-old Jacob Brown after he placed a knife to the throat of his partner Sergeant Marc Foster.

Brown initiated the assault as the policemen and their partner, PC Marcus Wolstencroft, were speaking to a motorist after a traffic accident in that location in summer 2023.

Brown stabbed and slashed the two Sergeant Ansell and Sgt Foster before Police Constable Wolstencroft stunned him with a stun gun.

"Officer stabbed," the officer stated over his radio.

Officer-mounted and dashboard camera video released by the agency revealed Brown, wearing in dark clothing with a hood up, run up to Sergeant Foster from behind with a blade pointed forward.

He collided with the policeman who stumbled and went down to the ground, after which Sgt Ansell jumped in and struggled to restrain him to the pavement despite being continually attacked with the blade.

PC Wolstencroft Stunned the Attacker, Jacob Brown, with a Taser

Police Constable Wolstencroft drew his Taser and waited for a open target, concluding the struggle to an finish.

Sergeant Ansell was heard stating: "I need assistance on my neck here, I've been stabbed in the throat."

Sergeant Ansell suffered multiple open wounds to his neck and more injuries to his arms and body, while Sgt Foster received cut injuries.

The department said Sgt Foster used his bare hands to stem his fellow officer's hemorrhaging prior to paramedics reached the scene.

This most recent honor follows after the trio of policemen received departmental Valor Recognitions in late 2023 and the police federation award from the local Police Federation in spring 2024.

They further earned a Regional Bravery Award in summer 2024.

"The responses of each policeman in the end rescued each other and meant no civilians endured any injuries."

Brown was given to an psychiatric detention in spring 2024, per officials.
